flash skin preview

When I look at the flash files in flash it operates quite quickly, but in RR it is very slow to respond and is using my CPU around 100%... Any suggestions?

Put it this way, I just viewed the preview screen on a P2 350 with 400meg of ram. Granted the internet connection I'm using is a very large ISP backbone grade connection where I work, but the PC handled it.

Don't know what overheads it would add to roadrunner though.

If you have the latest Flash player, it should not use too much CPU.. the skinners ARE aware that BAD flash movies can use too much CPU, so they try to keep it low.. You're NEVER forced to use flash on your skins -- and if you don't, you won't waste CPU load. If you have high CPU load, you should update your flash player -- check the FAQs for more details..

would agree with Guino... update the flashplayer.. tested it on my car pc (1300mhz amd 512md sd ram) and it runs smoothly max cpu load is at the beginning with about 80% and then goes down to 2-8% and tops at 40% when using the slide section at the top

Looks good so far - keep up the good work.

Couple of questions: will you use Flash to play audio files? Or Winamp? What about video (MPG's, not DVDs).

tv is out and new colour themes are ready....

i'll take up this skin when im done with the bfm skin

i know that this Flash Project is no more active, but is it possibile to post the .fla file for the test.swf Flash Movie.
I want to try adappt this for my Skin as an Entry Page.

A fully flash skin with EVERYTHING animated all the time would be so awesome. The intro on the first post looks like a video game. That's how a CarPC interface should be!
