    well you could use the values of the total track time and current track time to place the slider, this would be fine for just viewing where its up to, unsure how you could tap on the slider to move the song to that position

    Unsure as in you don't have a hook to move to that position in the song?

    there is a ffwd 5 sec's button and a rw 5 sec's button, maybe this could be used to hook the slider, as it were.. ie.. advance 60 mins.. sends the ffwd command 12 times.

    Ok, need some help here.. I have created a sprite, with a circle in it, this circle, now moves form frame 1 (start) to frame 100 (end) of the slider, I thought this would be the best way as each point is a %. Now where would I stick the script and what would it look like.. I could do it in php and vb no probs, but not used to scripting in flash.. can you help. I would need something like..

    TOTALTIME/CURRENTTRACK = SLIDERPERCENT

    Then I'm abit unsure how to call the slider its in a sprite caller 'track' and the circle is called slider.. so would it be something like

    onFrame (70) {
    TOTALTIME/CURRENTTIME = ROUND(SLIDERPOS);
    gotoSceneAndStop("<current scene>",SLIDERPOS);
    }

    ^^^ the current scene is wrong, need to tell it to play the sprite 'track' rather than the current scene.. how would i do that ?

    onFrame (80) {
    gotoSceneAndPlay("<current scene>",70);
    }

    ^^^ above bit is just a timer to repeat the song pos

    I can easily add a "seekto" dynamic command to jump to a clicked position in the format HH:MM:SS or MM:SS .. this is pretty much how I use it in RR anyway (because MPC and Built In player wrk differently) so it would be a matter of sending: fscommand("SEEKTO;02:01","") for instance.. but you'd have to do the calculations for status and for jump position in flash (which may suck) -- the easiest really would be to have the flash clip-off feature (and it could allow for other tricks too).

    The calculation in flash would be easy I have written a dozen slider controls 2 of which Macromedia distributes, so you can trust my code . If I get a chance tonight I will play around with a prototype for you, shouldn't take long. I am having problems installing the latest release though...hangs at the end of the installation. That might slow me down.

    the installshield does ?? is it updated ?? :| if you already had a version installed, all you had to do was unzip the binary package over your old files and re-run RRConfig..

    ok.. got it to convert to a percent now. using the below code

    Code:
    onFrame (25) {
        TOTALTIME = TRACKTIME.split(":");
        TOTALSECONDS = int(TOTALTIME[1]) + int((TOTALTIME[0]*60));
        CURRENTTIME = CURRENTTRACKTIME.split(":");
        CURRENTSECONDS = int(CURRENTTIME[1]) + int((CURRENTTIME[0]*60));
        SLIDERPO = Math.round((CURRENTSECONDS/TOTALSECONDS)*100);
        slidpos.gotoAndStop(SLIDERPO);
    }
    onFrame (35) {
        gotoSceneAndPlay("<current scene>",25);
    }
    Ok.. got a slider showing the position of the song.. just got to wait for a command to be added to RR, and suss out how to drag the slider around

    Hi Guino, had a spare 30 mins, so stuck a video browser flash screen together, just went to test it, and the 'LIST' call takes you to the audio browser. What command would I use to load the video browser ?

    cheers

    That would be "LIST" (as well) ... what RR does is check if the current skin is "video_player.skin", if so, it loads the video browser, otherwise audio browser.

    You can load the video browser manually by making the button code something like:
    "LOAD;VIDEO_BROWSER.SKIN" and it will always load the video browser no matter what, but for compatibility reasons I strongly recommend using the standard names "video_player.skin" and "video_browser.skin"...

    Let me know,
    Guino.
