ok, just started looking at skinning the radio, been sat in my car for 5 mins, trying to suss out what all the buttons do and why they are there. What I cant understand is the surf button, nothing seems to happen when I press it, also the house button (local on/off) whats this for ? is it needed ? any help please !

I think this is the one button that doesn't work on the Radio skin, Guino got everything else to work but scan I think.
The surf mode is like the scan feature in many radios, that is, it will play a few seconds of each of your radio presets in loop until you stop it by pressing surf again. Presets are required for it to work. (This is the same as the "SCANMODE" command in RR for music and TV)
The Scan button in the radio screen basically toggles if the >> << buttons will fine tune or seek to the next station. This only works with radiator or the OLD Dlink driver (the one that crashes).
The Local mode (house button), allows you to search presets without messing with you home presets.. say you have all your presets nice and neat, then travel around and need to scan for presets.. you should hit local (house button) then do the search of presets.. this will create you a temporary preset list.. when you're back home, all you do is press local again and your original playlist is brought back as if you never messed with it.

on another note.. I've just started doing the mixer, I'm trying to poke holes in the flash for the sliders, but i'm I right in thinking I can only have one hole.. ie

only the first CF1 will work ?
you're taking it wrong.. the number in the CF command is the number of the FLASH object you wish to cut.. since you only have one flash object, they all should say CF1...
CF2, CF3 etc would only work to cut other flash objects in the screen, like the 2nd and 3rd flash object...

its getting there now. I've made seperate .txt files for each skin, in these you can change then menu at the side, and also the colour of the text in the skin :-) also added album cover and visual to the menu.
