Flash RR Skin Beta Release

It is possible that if you have multiple Flash.OCX files in your system, that stupid VB is loading the wrong one.. so I'd kill any extras you find... it is interesting that you compare the speeds in RR and IE.. it should in fact be the same speed (as it is here)..

How's the progress comming along? Looking foward for a release to support GPS functionality and Ext. Apps. I've fallen in love with what you got already.

Even after my forced reinstall, I'm still seeing the same performance in IE (fine) and RR (terrible).

I really don't know what's the problem.. I can tell you this: when I was developing support for flash, RR got incredibly slow by adding the flash object into frmSkin.. after trying a few different things I found a way to prevent the slow down from happening: I made a user control just to "hold" the flash object and that made it so RR's speed was independent of the flash object.. since you have VB and RR's source, I'd suggest playing aroung with the usercontrol's settings (for flash) and see if you can find some setting that makes it faster.. there are also some quality settings in the Flash object you may want to try changing to see if it helps.. on my machines I have never noticed any speed issues because of Flash..

yeah.. I know how it goes.. I have VNC in the car, so I connect to it and test stuff remotely.. this way I can compile RR, test it and see the results without getting off my laptop..

well... that's one thing I like about having an inverter... a lot of times I pull an extension cord into the car and leave my carpc on as long as I need..
