Indicator on top of a Button

Is it possible to have an indicator on top of a button?

When I tried that the indicator would work half the times.. When I put it i.e. near the button it is fine!!

    Is this a common problem?

You can only use BLINKING indicators on top of buttons.. otherwise the button will get drawn over it and you won't see the indicator anymore. This is not a problem or bug.. just a limitation.
