    I have a plugin for photoshop with all sorts of effect, one of them being chrome.
    The road is long but we are getting there.

    Ah... Is it free?

    I was looking at a photoshop tricks book earlier today and that had tips for producing a pretty reasonable chrome look just using built in functionality but I don't think the results were as convincing as your plugin produces although I didn't buy the book so I didn't really compare them side by side.
