I've just finished the local CDDB support.. it took me a log time researching compression, and in the end, I chose to let the user handle it. Basically you'll have to have the Local DB extracted somewhere in your machine, and point the CDRip to it. If you want to compress it, I suggest a virtual NTFS drive (compressed) or DriveSpace (older windows). Zip support would not only require the user to extract and re-compress the Database, but also wouldn't provide fast file access as it is right now. Rar access was completely out of question (incredibly slow). All this means is that you'll have to separate some 1Gb-1.6Gb space (depending on how you store it) on your harddrive to use this feature.
