You can simply change the code on the consult.skin file from "EXIT" to "CLOSE". While there are other ways of doing the same, this is the simplest.
At modifying a skin to suit my needs. Thanks Zots....
I won't be using the TV, but I do have a Nissan Consult program that I will use, so I modified the menu.skin and off, on and down screens for the menu.

It seems to be working as I want it to, but when I exit the consult screen the app is still running. That's not really a problem, but it doesn't close the app when I exit RR...
This causes a problem when I restart RR and run the app again, the embedded window comes up, but not the consult.skin screen that I'm using for it...It loses focus and I have to click on it on the taskbar to bring it to the front...Again, this is not a problem unless I have other windows apart from RR open, but if there is a way to force the app to close when I exit RR then I would like to use it.

Thanks Guino, I've changed the exit button into two buttons so I can choose to do either while I still have RR running. Is there a way to force an app to close when I exit RR, so if I have exited I don't have to return to the screen to close it manually....
Probably won't be an issue in the car, but while testing I'm trying to cover all eventualities...

add something like this to exectbl.ini:
"QUIT","CLOSEWINDOW;<WindowTitle>||BYE"
"BYE","QUIT"
as long as you use the quit command to exit it should close it...

Well it is quitting if I use quit, but I was hoping to quit it when closing RR from the main screen without going back into the consult screen. Guess I'll have to use quit all the time and restart it every time...
On another note. I assume there is no way to embed the new windows as it changes windowtitle whenever you open a different part of the program...Like in the pic, if I start data display then a new window opens with the windowtitle "Data Display" and it goes fullscreen so obscuring RR...
I can see it being something I'll have to live with...or have a word with Tom who wrote the program...

An INI option has been added so that RR closes embbeded application upon exit.. just add: closeapps=true to RR.INI.Originally Posted by markbuts3

Thanks Guino, I'm downloading the latest installsheild version now. I'll look into SKINbedder after I try it out for a while and see if it's limiting as it is now..
