Red highlights for BMV2 Skin done

Anyone that downloads the RoadRunner installer now gets the new Brushed Metal Version2 skin included as the base skin.

It is a bit better than the popular original BM skin, its got more buttons but I really didnt like the blue highlight colour (and ive got a red car too) sooo Ive changed it so it has red highlights throughout.

If anyone wants the set you can grab it here- ive added a little readme if your not sure what to do.

You just need to either add it over your base BMV2 skin, or, copy your BMV2 skin to a new folder, then add it there, then change your skin in RR.

Thanks, Mad Ad! I like red much better than blue too. Actually, I'd like amber even more! And no, my car isn't amber, but the dash lighting is. To be precise:
R=255,
G=128
B=0

what do you mean marcini? It already does highlight red at all times- there is no blue at all.

yeah it only highlights when you move the coursor right on it, but what i meant was, could you make it so the red is on all the time on all the buttons, just the way it looks on top in you starting post^^^^^

Ahh i see, thats what you mean, yeah UK_MP3Car is right, just take my pack, change the _ON.jpg files to _OFF.jpg files and copy them in and youll get red all the time.

Alright, Im kind of a skin/photoshop newbie. The red skin will go great with all the red lights in my dash, but I was hoping to eliminate some buttons I wont be using from the skin. Could you please post the red highlight PSD, or maybe give a newb some tips on changing the color in the blue PSDs? I assumed it would be its own layer and I could just adjust the colors, but boy was I wrong.

I've googled, still cant get color replace to work when I have the button layer(s) selected. Works on JPEGs just fine though. Any tips for a n00b?
