why is this background not transparent(code)

    /, T, x, y, w, h, font color R;RGB, G, B, back color R;RGB, G, B, font size;FONT, font name, Code, tooltip
    T01,98,101,218,31,255,255,255,000,000,000,19,"Aria l Narrow","number_manual_PHOCO",""
    P01,388,86,304,410,255,255,255,000,000,000,255,245 ,000,000,000,000,TRUE,17,"ARIAL:B"

the manual number phoco has a big black background, i can't seem to get rid of it. i've tried for some time and now i'm lost.

what is wrong with this setting?

one more thing skin editor (latest) does not handle "P" lists correctly, is that right?

Unfortunately Text Boxes are NOT transparent as of yet.. but you can set it's background color to whatever you'd like (thre last numbers before the font size).. There's a whole lot of code required just to make a text box transparent and I just didn't think the effort and code was worth it..

You should be able to edit any object in the skin editor.. for the phonebooks, just copy this to objects.txt:

    /, (P) Phonebook
    Phonebook,P,x,y,w,h,forecolor R;RGB,G,B,backcolor R;RGB,G,B,selected color R;RGB,G,B,select color R;RGB,G,B,trs,font size;FONT,font name

ow, that's too bad. i'm trying to do a skin that's less "2d/windows 95" than most, so a big patch of one colour stands out somewhat.
well, hope you get around to it sometime,

    thanks again

Yeah, I even gathered all the stuff needed for it, but it was just so much and so API deep that could cause instability in VB6... best call right now is to make some cool design around it as a "box" for the text...

Also I corrected the line necessary for the Phonebook object in the skin editor (prev post)..

    Smile Transparent Text Box

I managed to get the text box in the phone skin to be transparent.(Well sort of)
On my skin, I created a Text Box 1x1 pixel with the same background color of the location where the text box is placed. Next you need to create an indicator also 1x1 pixel and place it somewhere on the skin. Next create a Label with the code L08,550,145,225,45,10,250,28,28,"Garamond:B","NUMB ER_MANUAL_PHOCO","right"
(of course your location and fonts will be different) but now when you press a button it will show up in the label. On my skin I have even the DTMF tones when pressing a button. Here is a shot of my skin with the unvisible text box.
