    Yet another skin

    Hi Folks,

My philosophy behind this skin is:
    • keep it simple (i'm getting old and can't be arsed with every little function available
    • big buttons for my gorilla fingers
    • continuity with button placement and functions
    • main function buttons available as much as possible

Its very much tailored to my own installation, cos I use my headunit for volume control I removed the vol controls in RR, although i will have a general settings button on the main menu page eventually.

Anyway, its work in progress and may be useful to someone.

    The Main Menu

    The Audio Player

    The Audio Browser

    The Video Player

    Exit Screen

Hmmm, I resampled the screenshots to 600x480 to give you a better idea how it looks. Bad move cos the text looks crappy now, oh well.

    Edit
    ----
I've replaced the origianal images in this post with ones using the a better font, I've also left them at 800x600. GDP 12/08/05

look at the D, that is a resizing glitch that it looks a bit bad, the "r" is a different font, as if it was a different font

I'm pretty sure the sizing has to do something with the "r". I don't think you can just change one letter to be a different font from the rest of the letteres. Unless the "r" is acutally different in the font he is using, I doubt thats the case.

Actually I think you guys are right, bit of a bum choice with the font. Even the unaltered image the 'r's are rubbish. Look

Funny how i never noticed that before, too close to the project for objectivity eh?? LOL. Looking at the font it's fine if over 18pt but below 18pt the 'r's are crappy. And nobody likes crappy 'r's..........

Back to the drawing board. Any suggestions for a decent LCD style font???
