What you could also do is make the bars increase in size.

ie have a single dot heght for 1 then add a double dot for 2 etc

    1 .

    2 .:

3 .: (can't get a 3 dot one but you get the idea)

The font thing is very creativebut you'll run into trouble with 10, 11 or 12 (very rare though)...

You should talk to DiNASTY about this, he made a CPU Load Meter bar that is very much like what you want.. to change that to work with the number of GPS satellites should be very simple for him.

    Create your own font.
Now that's thinking out side the box!!

@Ti-ejtsch: I got your PM. It's very simple to do in flash but it's very hard to explain in words so i took a desktop clip of my iRunner GPS signal bar. This should be similar in Flash MX.

You'll need to add the following code to your sprite (It should be easy to modify for your needs).

no don't change the _root.GPSSAT. Just add the "GPSSAT" label and your swf file into your skin and you should be all set.

if someone sends me the graphics, dimensions and how they want it to function, I would be willing to make one.

btw. did anyone make that font yet? I'd be interested in it. I never get 10 - 12 sats anyways
