transparent background for selected item in a list?

quick question

is it possible to make the white Selected bar (on track 44) dissappear? Transparent? Maybe?

i'm guessing not. but hey its worth a try.

oh hey while im posting a pic of the mp3 player part... who thinks that i should move the playlist up down buttons inwards, and add album art and track info...?

hah! finished? never. nah its pretty close.. just need to do osk, www, apps, mixer...

have mp3, divx, dvd (powerdvd only), radio (radiator), mapmonkey gps, phoco completed.

but that doesnt answer my question.. the first one.. can i get rid of that white bar?

I think the only way (currently) to do it is to match the background image, which in your case is out of the question. You may want to try a FULL pink "selected" bar to see if RR will treat it as transparent, but i doubt that will work.

Personally, I've really liked the idea of a "gradient" selected bar like in CF that goes from your color to transparent.

please!! and also like Dinasty mentioned, a solid to transparent gradient bar would be nice eye candy too!!!

also, for the gradient idea, it would be cool if there were 3 colors to choose from (instead of 2) and also option to make gradient go from left>right, along with up>down

actually scratch that, the best option would be allow the use of a small image file as the background for the selection bar. That way you can make your gradient any way you want, or add some type of grapic etc. Not sure how good this would be for transparency though, .gif files are very limited with only 256 colors so if you wanted a gradient and transparency it would look like crap. So i guess either way is good depending on whats most impt.

as for moving the up down buttons, i wouldnt move them in, i would probably shorten the track slider a tad and space the up down buttons apart a little more so they aren't as close together. If you want to add album art, i would put it on the left side of the playlist and make the PL less wide, that way you dont have to edit any grapic.
