Map point is the only software that has a good map of the city i am in. could you please make something so map point could be used. Igidence only shows a highway where i am. Thanks
playerbeat,
in that general.ini in the flashdeck root "flashdeck skin" folder there is a general.ini it has two sections for screen size, one is the original and one is the one to alter (which is the second set of numbers). change the second set of numbers to your desired resolution
so for instance, if the first 2 resolution sizes show 800 and 480, change the SECOND set to say 800 and 600.
doing skin resolution changes like these is NOTHING new for road runner. in an effort not to sound like someone who is flaming anybody, i'll just say this has indeed been covered several times. (you can tell i'm tired, my grammar is horrible). anyway, yeah change waht i said to change and you'll be good to go. this flashdeck skin isn't a totally new skin, it's just a new way to skin, it still uses roadrunner which still uses certain conventions to get things done; in this case, changing the screen resolution of a skin.
good luck.

Winamp really sucks for videos....
As for mappoint support, it is my understanding that a skinner must skin a ton of files because the whole itnerface is "integrated" in RR... this can be both a good and a bad thing... in this case, since you are one of few who want this it is a bad thing for you, since it is unlikely the skinner will want to devote a lot of time to support a software that very few use.
I think your best bet is to copy the mappoint skins from a skin that already supports it. Your gps screens will look a bit different, but at least itll work...

Any ideas for putting a PC in this? :)
Just trief flashdeck in car on my Mii-12000. Dawn it runs slow ;(
I Guess i have to search for a good ITX Celeron mobile board, because the C3 doesn't cut it anymore.
Is there going to be some optimizing or something like that, or is this as fast as its gonna go under flash ?
But i love it on my laptop![]()
Maybee something for the compass. When i stand in front of a railroad crossing / redlight / traffic jam it goes a little in freek mode.
It jumps from noth to south and from west to east.
Maybee its an idea to not update the compass if speed is lower the 5 km per hour ?

Great idea m... I experienced similar effects though not as drastic as you described. Consider it done.
I'm trying my best to optimize the flash for slower systems. There are certain effects that draw CPU like the fading which I'm contemplating replacing with a instant change and so on. What part/screen, in particular, is causing it to bog down? I know the volume & list sliders will use CPU, but only when pressed. is there anything else that slows it down?
Hallo Dinasty,
Volume is almost impossible to set, it's just not reaction to up down or slides with mouse or touchscreen.
The menu dropdown is not really fading but jumping a little bit and is slow.
Also buttons are not always reacting. I thing its using its processor to much for the flash and just forgetting about the touchscreen pushes.
But i must say, the looks ..... whow , it realy
Tommorow when i drive to work al will test all the screens for slowdowns. I'll hope i will not slow down agains another car while doing
PS> i also noticed that when i start winamp it is in front of flashdeck, as soon as i click something is flashdeck it will drop to the back. No problem, i guess all info is welcom
you can set the hide winamp thing within the system folder of your flashdeck skin folder. just run the RRConfig.exe there since Flashdeck currently runs as it's own application seperate from your first install of RoadRunner.
