    yeah - I went with 2.95

why is it such an old version? is it because the new modern winamp does something different?

    Hey all,

While I'm on hold here because of this flash9 update, I think I will give Flashdeck a bit of a face lift. My goal is to make it more touchscreen friendly and intuitive without losing too much of the current look/feel.

Below is a new menu bar idea. And i also have a drop-down bar that displays the indicators (Online/Date/Time/Current track *moved*/ and any others by request).

not really sure why 2.95 is the officially supported version, although there are a lot of features in winamp, RR only uses it for audio and visuals if my brain is working right today. Ive never used the 2.95 version with RR, allways used winamp5, 5.1 is as far as you can go till it breaks stuff.
maybe quino is the best to answer this, but i know a lot of people who use winamp are kind of divided some like the old winamp and hate version 5 for various reasons. Personally i hate winamp2.x

Winamp 5 hasn't improved much on the SDK support for winamp, it basically is winamp 2.9 with added skin support and improved user interface (both of which are useless to RR), so the recomendation is merely a performance issue as winamp 5 is bigger, and tends to take longer to load. Other than that, I use it myself in some machines too (the faster ones)..

I want to get this working also, I have the beta and the "coming soon" is simply retarded. Why even release this? I also have the same issue which I can go to IG that if I close it goes to the audio skin, and works yet I can't get to the audio skin by clicking audio. This is a fantastic skin, probably one of the best skins yet for RR. Just needs a beta release with at least all the menus. Any idea when a newer version will be released??

Well, I've lost motivation on this and that "retarded" bit didn't help... I have other projects that I'm working on right now that are more important so I guess I will get back to this when I find the time. FYI, this is not a normal skin... it is practically a Frontend so it's not as easy as skinning a few up/down jpgs and assigning buttons. If it were, I would have had the other screen finished by now.

If someone (that knows what they are doing) wants to continue this project, PM me and I'll hand over the files.

Yeah sorry about the 'retarded' comment. That was a little harsh. Just don't understand why you would spend the time trying to make the menus not work. If you would have spent the time at least getting the main menus to work it would be easier to build upon this. I understand this skin is like no other, hence the interest in it. Would cash donations help get the ball rolling again?
