Thread: FlashDeck

It works perfect. Except for the disabled menus. If the 'coming soon' menus would ever come than the skin could finally be a final version and not be stuck in its beta state. I know how dinasty feels though. I would probably give up on a project that i decided to make half the program not work on purpose. Took too much time to program all the coming soon stuff that the real coding got left behind. Its just my theory on things but at least it explains why flashdeck sits broken and half sputtering on the side of the road. I tried my best to fix what dinasty broke on his creation but without the source files its near impossible. Not to sound like a pessimist here but I don't think this skin is ever going anywhere unless the original author decides to finish it.

He did offer to give me the source once but he never got around to it.

its a shame.. this could be the number ONE skin to use. :-(

man, I'm sorry but I have to say there seems to be a lot of ingreats in this thread. Whether or not the OP decides to ever finish this FREE SKIN which he made just for the fun of it is his business.

The OP doesn't owe any of us anything, rather it is us who owe people like the OP for sharing their great ideas, and little apps and skins or whatever with the rest of us.

It seems to me that with all the people who replied to this thread, that at least one or two of us could have taken the original idea of this skin (with or without the source files, I'm talking about the overall theme) and made it into something different, but equally awesome.

So, instead of *****ing about Dinasty, maybe we should get together and see if we can make this skin (or one along these lines) possible

I for one am willing to donate my photoshop skills (not that they're the best or anything, but I like to think I'm ok)

im ready to donate ween the skin is finish. but i dont see the idea in donating ween the skin ik incompleate.. i know that many other people will donate ween it is finish. so it is not JUST for fun he is making it. it would be a realy good skin for many..

While I'm on hold here because of this flash9 update, I think I will give Flashdeck a bit of a face lift. My goal is to make it more touchscreen friendly and intuitive without losing too much of the current look/feel.

Below is a new menu bar idea. And i also have a drop-down bar that displays the indicators (Online/Date/Time/Current track *moved*/ and any others by request).

How to install

1) Get the BETA v1.2 Here (extract anywhere you please)
2) extract "reboot.exe" to your RoadRunner directory
3) extract the "weather" folder to your RoadRunner directory (for weather support)
4) add the following to your KeyTbl.ini: 4081,"EXIT" (for iG support)
5) Run FlashDeck and click on "FlashDeck Config" under "MENU->INFO->FlashDeck Config"

NOTE: At the moment, this skin only works with flash player version 8 or earlier.
