FrodoSatelliteRadioX Skin for RR w/Proximo's CF Style Blue 800x600 by b8bboi

I've officially made the switch from Frodoplayer to RoadRunner today. I love the functionality of RoadRunner, but (no offence guino!) I'm not a big fan of its XM implementation. I'm writing my own XM app right now, but until its done I'm sticking with FrodoSatelliteRadioX (alpha 3)..

I wanted to run FrodoSatelliteRadioX embedded, but the default/brushed skins looked crappy. I fell in love with Proximo's CF Style Blue skin by b8bboi for RR, so I decided to combine them.

One thing that always bugged me with frodo's xm program is that I never knew what time it is. I decided to use RR to add that in while I was at it...

The left "menu" column is a RR skin that embeds an application in the right side. To the right of that is FrodoSatelliteRadioX running with my custom skin. I used the PSD's for the CF Style Blue skin and made this for the xm app.

You might want to mess around with the font sizes so they're to your liking. I put 6 large preset buttons for the stations I listen to most, and 4 smaller ones for ones I dont listen to as much. I didn't like how small they were, and I found it distracting while driving to switch presets. You can change the sizes in the skin.ini in the RRCF skin directory as you please. I put a rather large size font in them for the same reasons, I might scale them down.

I'll touch it up when I can. There is a black 1px line across the top of the xm app that I can't seem to figure out where its coming from. If anyone can solve it that would be great. I personally don't see it in my car so I've decided I dont care anymore and have given up trying.

I will modify the RR skin shortly to replace the "Video" menu button throughout the program with an XM button.

unzip frodoxm_for_rrcf.zip to your CFX_800_600 skin directory

any change making an 800x480?

Looks great. I don't like the native implimentation of XM in RR

Sorry, forgot to mention that part.

If you change the height in FrodoSatRadX.ini to 480, it'll be the same as it appears on my screen (800x600, auto scaled down to approx 800x480 by the lilliput).

I made it from the 800x480 skin, then stretched it to 800x600 for my resolution.

So, in FrodoSatRadX.ini, change the height (under [SIZE] section) to this:

APP_HEIGHT=480

And it will look like the screen cap attachment below..

I modified the CF Style Blue 800x600 skin to put the XM button in place of the Video button (Video button relocated to where XM button was).
