    Please, can somebody explain how to control a list (playlist, browser,...) in flash?
    Thanks!

    Have a look at CdR's RAD skin thread, he has posted the playlist code on the first post. If you have any questions about the code I may be able to help.

    here's another flash question...

    I understand how labels work in flash. How do indicators work?

    How do indicators work?
    They don't... hehe.

    Actually, I know that the ONLINE indicator somehow sends a variable to flash (ON/OFF), but I don't think any others work like that. It would be nice to have some way to poll the state of an indicator with flash or have RR send out a boolean variable or something. The SHUFFLE indicator for instance would be a very important one as there is no "SHUFFLE-STATUS" label for flash integration that I'm aware of.

    Code:
    onFrame (1) {

        if (_root.MASTERMUTE == "ON") {
            _root.mute.gotoAndStop(2);
        } else {
            _root.mute.gotoAndStop(1);
        }
        if (_root.SHUFFLE == "ON") {
            _root.shuf.gotoAndStop(2);
        } else {
            _root.shuf.gotoAndStop(1);
        }
        if (_root.STATUS <> "PLAY") {
            _root.pb = "4";
        } else {
            _root.pb = ";";
        }
    }
    onFrame (5) {
        gotoAndPlay(1);
    }
    just like that :-)

    remember you must have the indicators i your .skin file also

    thanks for the info. I've tried it your way CDR with some phoco and a custom indicator (used your "mastermute" example from the RAD SWI) but it didnt work the same way mastermute does. It would definitely be nice if rr sent indicator status to flash the same way it sends labels

    it does as far as I know.. every indicator I've tried sets the same name variable in flash.. the ONLINE one works as well as I'm using that in the latest freedom. Which ones are you having problems with ? Also you could try using CUSTOMIND as well with SETIND I think.. let me know what your trying to do and I will come up with a answer.

    Code:
    if (_root.SMS_ARRIVED_PHOCO == "ON") {
            _root.SMS.gotoAndPlay(2);
    pasted from my .swi. Supposed to run the SMS sprite when the sms indicator is on.

    have you put the indicator in the .skin file ie..
    I,0,0,0,0,"SMS_ARRIVED_PHOCO"
    also have you just added a simple dynamic text to the flash just to see what this variable is displaying ?

    anotherwork around might be to create a new variable and send a fscommand to set this up.. ie.

    fscommand("SETVARBYCODE;PHONESMS;SMS_ARRIVED_PHOCO ","")

    you would need to stick this on a timer, and also the monitor PHONESMS .. not tested mind you, but it might work.
