i would make the osk bigger, actually try to use as much screen space as possible. I would remove the two rows of buttons at the bottom, they will never be used while the osk is present so better to use all the space u can.

square buttons on main screen look better, something still a little slightly odd. Maybe its a layout issue. Maybe move the accura logo to the bottom right corner and lay the square buttons in a row across, maybe shrink size a tad to fit them all in one row?

I agree with LS on the buttons. I think moving the logo out of the way of making it smaller and then arranging the squares in a row would be better. The bigger you can make the buttons the better.

Ok here's a rough try with slightly resized buttons, arranged in a row, the Acura logo made smaller and faded, and the vehicle image dropped slightly lower. The status area at the top still has to be shifted a little to the right to line up, and the track-title and artist info on the bottom-left might need to be shifted a little to the left to line up.

I think I agree, the arrangement is better this way. My thinking with the previous arrangement was that there would be a lot of room to add new buttons when additional features are added (but right now I don't plan to go far beyond music, video, gps, and external apps anyway, since that's what I plan to be using the most). But with this arrangement, there is a lot of room for GPS info (LAT/LONG, ELEVATION, SPEED, etc) to be displayed in an overlay when not looking at actual maps in the actual GPS screen.

By the way, does anyone have access to a photo of an old-style sputnik-looking satellite? I'm still trying to find a good image to use for the gps/navi (center) button...

BTW, is there any chance that u make a clean skin without a car in the background and without the acura logo? I like that skin, but I dislike having an acure on the screen while sitting in an audi

Sure, I can do that, but it's going to be a while before this thing is remotely ready to be released. I'm still trying to settle on the overall layout, and the general design still needs work, then there's the countless little inconsistencies I keep finding between screens, etc etc..

But yes, I'll most likely release it once it's in better shape, and probably in a series of colors.

THIS IS PERFECT! That's exactly what I meant. NOW ANY CHANCE OF DOING A HONDA CIVIC? 2003???? PLEASE! As for upgrades, one thing you can do is to make the menu scroll. This way if you add more, you just scross to the right and see the other options. Just a thought.

Actually, after I did this Civic one, I started really diggin' the logo on a black background like that. I'm probably going to do the nighttime version of the Acura ITX skin like that, and use the one with the image of the car for the daytime version.

The scrolling menu across the top is a good idea. Once I figure out how to do that kind of thing, I'll see about implementing it.

No more requests people... (please) Let me get the core of this thing done and then doing custom logos/vehicles will be a lot easier.
