Thread: New Road Runner Clocks/Logos (By Tissy)

GizmoQ - Before i compile, am i right in thinking you would like the clock / dial faces to be transparent with the balck font? With the front logo, what background colour would you like on this. I've now got a carbon fibre backing which looks quite nice. An interactive example of this is on my web site at the bottom of the clock page.

pshadwick - Yep, you're correct.

slantman - You have a number of choices. Although you would like the font colours changed, how would you like the rest of the dials. Could you please answer these questions.

• What colour would you like the outer ring, same as the blue Cobra one, standard chrome or dark chrome.

• How would you like the backing of the clock faces, coloured or transparent.

• Same as the front logo also, coloured or carbon fibre.

You will need to specify these background colours to how you would like them though.

DARK CHROME

Transparent would be preferable, but If I have to choose a color lets match CFX blue, black outer ring, red needles.

when i click on the cobra with orange fonts this is what i get

GizmoQ - Your Cadillac with black fonts and transparent background is now posted also. I haven't done many with transparent backgrounds, so it would be good to see what it looks like in your skin. Could you post a screen shot if the clock module is the way you wanted it. Just for others to see.

The Logo and the ring could have been transparent as well for my tastes and just add a thin font colored ring for the other functions. And could you eliminate the transitions - my poor 500MHZ with onboard video goes 100% CPu during them.

You do know that that having seen how the transparencies work, there are a few requests you're gonna get, so let me be the first.
1. These logos are so cool with transparency that I'd want one for both my day and night skins, therefore since I use black fonts for the day skin, I need teh same with white fonts for my night skin. I recognize this is double the work and many others will probably want the same or close to it, therefore...
2. I wonder if you could talk with CDRSkull and find out how he worked his on the fly color changes or maybe create a clock.ini for background, font, active functions, transitions, etc. I can easily envision the next evolution of your clocks accessing the RR.ini day/night setting and automatically change day/night fonts and background at sunset. This would eliminate the need for two sets with the same logo. Then you could also access the overspeed setting in RR.ini and make the Speedo come to the forefront and flash a red background when exceeded. I'm sure access to the RR.ini opens up all sort of other possibilities.
3. Have you tried bigger fonts with smaller dials. Flash is easier to handle the smaller it is. But there is a point where the current fonts are unreadable at a glance, maybe if the digital portion were supe-sized somehow and the analog portion were less emphasized - just something to think about.

Below are the screen captures of the transparent in action. Again this is wonderful the way it works. Thanks again. Next request is a day(black font) and night (white font) transparent version for the mustang logo.

How do i get the speedo to work from my GPS? i have these settings in Roadrunner at the moment.
