Hi, I am playing with these clocks and I really love them!

Let me give you advise, there need to be a manual of some soft. It took me like 30 min to figure out that you have to click on the clock to get it to work... I thougth something was wrong was going nuts before I clicked once on the clock to toggle between modes.

f1vlad - What Skin are you using ? Basically in the .skin file, such as menu.skin, you will have to place the GPSSAT (Number of Satalites), GPSHDG (GPS Heading) and GPSSPD (Speed) lables on the skin. You can change the co-ordinates of these lables to 0 so that they are hidden. But to start off with i like to make them visible so that you know the values of the labels are being correctly displayed in the clock modules.

So for example, the menu.skin (if its the front menu you are placing the flash object in) should contain the following lines.

    L05,12,92,62,20,255,255,255,12,"Arial","GPSSAT","L EFT"
    L,177,92,73,20,255,255,255,12,"Arial","GPSHDG","LE FT"
    L06,85,92,80,20,255,255,255,12,"Arial","GPSSPD","L EFT"

    F01,274,133,252,332,"logo.swf"

Depending on what GPS software you are using, you may have to get a COM port splitter. However, if the values on the skin are being populated fine, then the clock module will pick up these values.

Rafster - First off, have you downloaded the latest version of these modules from my WEB site. The latest version allows colours and logos to be fully customised. To change the front logo of the clock, download a new one from my site by RIGHT-CLICKING and SAVE-AS over the logo you want. Then place this in the same folder as the .SWF file. Then rename main_logo.png to main_logo.old (this is the Road Runner generic logo). Then rename your new downloaded logo (such as Volvo.png) to main_logo.png. Thats it.

    Regards,

    Steve

Rafster - Delete all the files and then download and unzip the Clock module files again. Alternatively, zip the files up and then email them to me using the email address on my web site. I have never come across this problem before or have had it reported to me.

What happens if you delete the main_logo.png file totally ?

for anyone that is using those clocks along with RR and freedrive i confirm that you need a port splitter.. they won't work without one.

    Hi Tissy,

Just a question, and if I missed it I apologize...

I just downloaded the 2 transparent Caddy clocks, and they don't display. the non-transparent ones do. I named it clock.swf to keep is simple, and using the MMI skin.

Is that the new Flash 9.0 issue I have been reading about, or something else?

Also, I tried using GPSView and it does not detect my GPS (earthmate, Delorme, SA2005) on any port at any baud rate, but I know it's there because it works fine in SA2005.

If I understand, I need to put a number (port number) in the RR GPS field? How do I get this magic port, and what do I type in "X" or "COMX"?

    TY

TY, NICE job on this Flash stuff!
