    NEW Version release !!

A new version of the clock modules has been released and is ready for download from my site. The update is for both the KPH and MPH versions.

The new version has an updated 'clockcolours.txt' file which now allows you to customise the background colour of the clock modules. You can have the background as a solid colour or still maintain the faded effect, where you can customise the highlight and lowlighted colours.

Please see the 'Guide to Embedding Custom Clock Modules' PDF document which has also been added to the web site for further details.

Hope you like the new additions !!

thanks for the help. i will attempt to use you guide and if i cannot get it to work i do have a yahoo messanger name or i could probably use someones MSN's. also do you think you can make one for freedom, because it does not have the same file setup as the other skins.
    Thanks once again

I got the logos to work now on all except for freedom. I was just wondering, what program do i need to edit the clocks file. I want to change the colors of certain things on there?

bimmeracer - You don't need any special program to edit the clock file, just standard Windows notepad. I would say 90% of the clock colours are changeable by edititng the clockcolours.txt file, you just need to read the PDF document and that will explain all.

If there are any other special requirements for colour changes which are not catered for in the txt file, i can do custom versions. However for this i would ask for a donation to this project. Despite the amount of custom versions i have made and the work submitted, only 6 people have donated against the 4600 web hits .

masch - email has been sent, i've sent the email with the latest version of the clocks, let me know how you get on.

it would be much more appropriate to put the number of sats on the compass and not on the speedo. and while i'm at it, adding altitude (GPSALT) on the compass would be perfect.
    great work!

majidaldo - Good idea, this will be added. How does the screen shot below look for everyone? Ignore the horrible colours, just there for development use !!

I didn't add it to one of the 'panels' as i thought they would start to get clutered. So the 'main' information is in the panel, with other minor information elsewhere.

Is there any other attributes you would like to see on the Speedo panel in place of the 'Sats' information which has now been moved to the Compass screen?

well, you got my mind rolling a bit.

MPH and KPH can be in the same .swf. (maybe just a small clickable area at the top would switch them?).
something more advanced to implement might be autoswitching to the compass when turning and autoswitching to the speedo when changing speed. and maybe back to the logo or clock when idle. it's something cool but not too useful

other than that, i think you should stop tinkering with it and call it "finished". keep it simple.

however, you MAY want to do a (separate) digital version. perhaps all the info can fit in one screen.

    Thanks for asking.

I thought of the MPH / KPH switch before, ie trying to do just one version, but with the analogue side of things it was just to cpu intensive. POlus those in europe etc will only use the KPH and those who use MPH again will use just that.

Once i finish this i will call rename the files without the betas. It is kind of finished, but people keep coming up with new ideas !

Like the idea of the Digital only version, i will see what i can come up with !!

The only thing you didn't mention was the layout of the Sats and ALT readouts, is this what you were thinking of. Are their placements OK ?
