CdR, let me know if you need a tester or anything. Btw, are you using the new FLASHBACK & FLASHBROWSE commands for the directory list? They are infinitely faster and would fit nicely into your code that checks for changes in the CUSTOMDL.

EDIT: just read the bit on how you are doing the lists. I think I like the page up / page down better because it's just faster than scrolling through all the songs individually. However, I tried to do the same thing for the directory list and I ran into a couple of problems. Basically, if you are going up/down 5 at a time and you have 6 slots, if you scroll all the way down on a list of say 12 songs... it would leave 4 blank slots open on the bottom. Is this how you are handling it when the list is not a multiple of 5? It should be ok if your slots don't send commands when they don't contain a song title but I remember it getting a little tricky in the dir browser. I’d be interested to know what you have planned.

will send you something when its a bit more finish.. unsure when that will be, but I coded in prevention so clicking on a blank space after the end of the list does nothing

EDIT : I still have a page up / down button but it works like this.. lists 1 to 5 / 6 to 10 / 11 to 15 / 16 to 20 ... etc.. so pressing it 3 times would list you 16 to 20.. then you just press the song you want.

I should have quoted "blk02si", as it was his post I was "replying" to... I've tried many front ends, and touchscreen volume control can be problematic (at least with my lilliput). Media car was slow, frodo was fast, last time I tried road runner, it was slow... all on my 1ghz class machine.

What I meant was, it's a good idea to have an actual volume knob instead of relying solely on a skins or front ends touchscreen volume control. You can expound that to using hard buttons for the 4 or 5 things you want to do (mp3/gps/phone/obd/etc), so the skins menu navigation system doesn't have to be used.

If you had a few programmable hard buttons, a skin developer could worry less about filling the screen with cluttered stuff, just to navigate between the functions. It wasn't advice on how to make the skin better (I love it), it was advice in general.

Very neat!! I really can't stress enough how well the flash is integrated into this skin. That takes sooo much thought and skill to do it this well. Congratulations!!

Haha... i bet you will pull a lot of people away from CF with that thread.

Suggestion,

Might I suggest that you add this on main timeline:

Button.prototype.useHandCursor = false;
}

It will get rid of the hand cursor for the entire swf unless of course you prefer the hand symbol. Also, this gives me another idea... It would be cool to see some sort of (semi-transparent?) crosshair over the color picker so that people with hidemouse=true can see their selection better. I think that would be cool, but it's up to you.

veetid, has posted 10 times in the centrafuse forum after you posted your thread. I know he has to have read the thread, but he has not replied to it. I say that if he takes longer then a couple of days repliying to the thread then its fair to say that he's ok with you releasing the skin. what you think?

Hi m8, I'm going to add some code that reads the mousehide from the rr.ini file which will hide the cursor if required..but thanks for the above code.. didnt know you could do that. The crosshair would be wasted on a touchscreen mind, the same as mouse over events and with mouse over events they tend to spoil the skin as when you press a button it would stay in the mouse over state until you press another.... I have been looking at you htpc which does look awesome and as soon as I have this skin out of the way I wouldnt mind helping if thats ok.
