I have notised some weird tings, when trying to use osk.

- When using apps in lauch skin, enter dosent work.
(used notepad and mIRC)

- Web with firefox, letters are duplicated and when trying to type to google search (at toolbar) only last letter is entered (and duplicated). Enter dosent work here too.

Edit: Well enter doset work at any skin, sorry about that.

CDRskull, Thanks for the info regarding the AVS settings but now I have another question regarding the games. I'm trying to use a gamepad and I'm not getting anywhere. I've tried two seperate controllers (Wireless and connected) and they don't seem to respond. I've confirmed they are working in Control Panel but I get nothing when trying to use them for Space Invaders. I've never tried playing any games so this is completely new to me. Am I missing something? I would really like to use my rumble pad 2 with the games but what do I need to do in order to get it to work?

Hey all,

Just an update with my testing. It is definatly the suckie onboard graphics causing the problem... I put in a 128mb Geforce FX5200, and the skin runs at about 90% of the speed that it does on my P4 3ghz.. so it is definatly usable now...

any one knows of a good tutorial to make a flash button to send commands to RR. I need to add some tiny buttons in Cdrs skin so my steering remote can work correctly..as i have configured it in girder to replicate button presses.. those buttons in my BMV2, were hidden(no button image) tiny, and standard in all the .skins..so the remote will always work regardless of the loaded skin.. any ideas how to add buttons?

you dont need a tutorial really. In swishmax, you just set your your button to run fscommand("YOURRRCOMMAND") on button release. it automatically sends the command to rr.

Here's an example. Command here is SEARCHFILES

unsure how girder works.. but if you can get it to run a file when a button is pressed, then why dont you use exec.exe that comes with roadrunner, its a command line app which uses roadrunners sdk.. so for example when you press a button girder would do..

exec.exe VOL+ which would turn the volume up in RR.. then you wouldnt need to amend any skins and it would work 100% all the time.. you would just use the normal RR commands like you do for its buttons

cdr i might as well do that..why didn't i think of that. will try it and tell you how it will go

EDIT: it seems that girder can execute an EXE file but will not accept anything after that.. so it will accept running "exec.exe" but not "exec.exe vol+"
anyway i made girder send keyboard sentences and that works great.. so i can now use CDRs skin directly

without moding it.. (is that fun or no fun?

did a hour or two work on it.. and since Guino has got back.. things are looking up :-)

ok this is now added and tested.. you can now add a extra 3 paths, so say you have a second harddrive.. cdrom or a usbpen. you can now goto the audiobrowser page and press and hold the root key and it will open the below options.. where you just press which you want and it takes you there.. to go back to the normal list you just press the root key. The drives are configured in the menu.txt file..

&cdpath=D:&
&usbpath=E:&

simple.. I have also added a eject button on the cdrom icon, just incase you need it :-)
