'Freedom' skin beta progress (Flash Based)

well I have one small suggestion (not ripples this time

), I'm using that extra menu posted lots of pages ago that shows the speed in the top, it would be great if something like this could be implemented in the skin itself...
Mayne just a area where u can add whatever u wish, like if I just want to have the current speed all I need to do is add that to the skin file, if someone else wants weather or something else they can add that...
dont know, maybe I'm the only one that would find something like that handy...

It just hit me, I'm playing WoW some, (no I dont want a TS version) but one of the most used addons for that game is "titan bar", it does almost what I described, u have a bar where u can put the info u want...
WoW players know what I mean!

just one small question, will u have any skin for phone control, I have tried the one in RR addons and it seems to work, saw that u had been playing with it 2... would be nice 2 have a link to it from freedom...

I was keeping the first post updated.. but SINCE zip-lock and crew decided in the almighty wisdom to disable this now.. Its becoming a proper mare to be honest. I will mostly likely move over to my own FreeDrive forums and open a carpc section on there, at least then I can update the first post and keep everything in one, rather than doted about this thread. What I have been working on is a indicator status line.. I have added Vol , Inet indicator and just now GPS.. (upto 12 sats) the Inet indicator 'i' lights up your skin colour when connected and the little white lines revolve around it :-) also the volume amount zooms in / out alittle when changing.. but you wont see that from the pic below.. lol

pic's commands... whats needed is it just a indicator ON / OFF type thing ?

I will add it to the left of my indicators and it will only show up when ones there, so if peeps arent using phoneco then they wont have a dead icon on there screen :-)

right now i am using an "addon" .swf that stays completely invisible when the SMS_ARRIVED_PHOCO indicator is off. When its on, a box pops up over where the skin label is(audio on the image you last posted) that simply says new sms until you click it, at which point the box slides back to being transparent and you're taken to the SMS screen.

As it stands, the only way i can know if the indicator is ON is a little autoit script that sends a request to rr every 5 secs. However, since youre more proficient in flash, i'm sure you know how to monitor the indicator directly from within flash

. Matter of fact i know u know how to do it... cause it would work the same way your shuffle indicator works in freedom now.

i'll send you the .swi tomorrow if i'm not being clear

CDR - Well... looks like I'm playing catch up and this really could move me from MC2 which I still think is brill.

Re updates cant see any problem been on the Freedrive forum - if any thing slightly more relevant as you make both go hand in hand any way nothing stopping people signing up there although you may loose out on some exposure as a result over here ?

Not had chance to read it all yet but is there any chance of the PSD & fonts. I'm in the process of coding an online traffic system and would like it to match if I can.

have no psd's but the fonts are tacoma and radio space.
