'Freedom' skin beta progress (Flash Based)

for those that are members of the freedrive forums, you can go and grab some updated files for the audio player and browser :-)

This small update is great .. damn nice work! There are also some small bugs (maybe only at my pc

) ... if you turn up and down the volume there is a difference of 1 between the upper right vol. status and the main vol! If i hold the root button (in the audio browser) the new menu pops up but i can't change to another source (yes i have changed it in the menue.txt)! The Playlist function is awesome too but i can't change between different playlists! To save a playlist is no problem only to choose them ... I hope these info's can help you!

Hey CDR.. I have been watching out for this, but i admit it, not that much... therefore, i havent read many of the posts in these 650some posts in this thread... so here goes my question, sorry if its been answered in the past...

CDR, is there any way to use Directory List Player capabilities of RR? (Basically, having the directory list instead of a playlist, and clicking into directories, and olaying files directly without needing a playlist)...

If it doesnt exist, would it be something you'd consider?

just checking, I need to find a skin for my dad's carpc, and it needs to support directgory playing cause he cant get around otherwise...not very intuitive for him (or me as a matter of fact) the playlist based ones...

Try the new audio browser, I'm with your dad and prefer directories.

Speaking of which, CDR, I've installed audio browser 2.0 and have run into a bug. After selecting tracks or folders, saving the playlist then go to the audio player, then select a file to delete, it says it's deleted but it never leaves the playlist.

also what is the "i" in a circle next to the volume, under the Ford do? Along with the 5 bars next to it?

BTW, I prefered the old clock in the screen saver. Just noticed, if the screen saver comes on when in Audio it displays numbers, if it comes on when at the main menu it's back to the orginal clock.

CDR, I have a small complain (well not really).
Whenever I switch from other skin to this skin (freedom), all embedded apps are unload. Did you use reloadskin command? You probably use it for a reason, but I found that with iG embedded and nav routing while using other skin will clear current route. It's inconvenience that I have to go to iG menu and pick recent route again.

I think its in the new version of RR like a few other features.

i is the internet indicator and the five bars are for gps sats

FreeDrive is a Gps frontend that RR users embed to give access to and control of Destinator 3 Gps software(never designed for use on Pc),Freedom is a RR skin that gives control of RR and looks nice.
Though i'm sure CdR could construct an entire frontend if he wanted to,he's a RR user.
