Looks like you're european or canadian! Date.Month.Year! Nice

Looks nice and simple. I personally don't like the all lowercase letters like that. Your song name has upper and lowercase letters, so it doesn't mesh right in my eyes. I like the simplistic look though.

Since you're premise is simplicity, You might want to consider using RR labels for all your buttons as opposed to labels in the graphics. This way if you decide to change the colors, fonts, or placement - it as simple as editing the skin files. (It also helps all those people that use your skin to tailor it to their needs without having to distribute the PSDs.)

Im a little south from Tja actually, about a 3hr drive which i dont want to say where, tja will know why

thanks for the advice, ill see what i can do with the lettering, with all the lower cases. also doing everything in labels, didnt even think about that.

Im at work at them moment so cant really play, but what happens with the labels? Do you just place the label and overlay a button on top or do the labels have mouse down events as well?

Basically your PSD would look like the attached. And the .skin files would be used to place text using the label commands and buttons can be placed directly over them. I've even gone so far as to use lines (copied from Chuck's skin) in my skin file to create the borders for my buttons. If you look at the first graphics in the attached post everything along the top and bottom of the center whitespace is done with RR labels with RR Buttons overlayed on them. Chuck and Liquid Smoke have taken this type RR label usage to extremes creating their own fonts that give you the symbols for FF/RW/play/stop, etc.

do you know if they made these fonts public? save a bit of time drawin the shapes and like you said, can use the label idea to full extent

Don't know if they're "public", but they are distributed with their skins.
