    I know this has been done, but can't find the answer to this question...

    How do you cycle between two values?

    i.e.
    in skin.ini
    Function=0

    On one button, pressing it will change Function=1 if Function=0 and vice versa.

    I know I've seen done before, but after hours of searching, I just can't quite put the right keywords together.

    Help?

    TIA!

    Also make sure the button is the very first one.

    I've tried that. Doesn't work for what I want to do.

    I'm working on the KeyTBL.ini. I'm trying to create a virtual alternate function button for the remote.

    I'm trying to code four commands for two remote buttons.

    KeyTBL.ini:
    4013,"PCREMOTESHIFTFUNCTION"
    38,"ARROWUPCMD"
    40,"ARROWDWNCMD"

    ExecTBL.ini:
    "PCREMOTESHIFTFUNCTION","{here's where the Variable "Function" cylces from 0 or 1}"
    "ARROWUPCMD","BYVAR;FUNCTION;UP<<PGUP"
    "ARROWDWNCMD","BYVAR;FUNCTION;DOWN<<PGDOWN"

    Hope that's clear...

    try this

    Code:
    ExecTBL.ini:
    "PCREMOTESHIFTFUNCTION","BYVAR;FUNCTION;SETVAR;FUNCTION;1<<SETVAR;FUNCTION;0"
    "ARROWUPCMD","BYVAR;FUNCTION;UP<<PGUP"
    "ARROWDWNCMD","BYVAR;FUNCTION;DOWN<<PGDOWN"

    And if you want to save it for next time you startup

    "PCREMOTESHIFTFUNCTION","BYVAR;FUNCTION;SETVAR;FUNCTION;1<<SETVAR;FUNCTION;1||SAVETOSKIN;FUNCTION;$FUNCTION$"
    "ARROWUPCMD","BYVAR;FUNCTION;UP<<PGUP"
    "ARROWDWNCMD","BYVAR;FUNCTION;DOWN<<PGDOWN"

    DAM! Why didn't I think of that? It was staring at my face the whole time!

    Thanks!

    Once chuck tap's in it seems the solution is not too far away,
    once again, I say thanks for the answers. Not that I asked the question but one day I may be able to find it in a search when needed.
