Well as said, it's untested. I've got nothing on-hand to test it with. Wrote the code based on the FB V4 bytestream breakdown. Thought I could test it by watching the LED, expecting that with a...

Since it's a system service, shouldn't it go under /usr/share/dbus-1/system-services?

I start it via udev - created /etc/udev/rules/99-fusionbrain containing

    oops

I got around to looking at and testing this, and realized I screwed up. It should be "my $fb = Net::DBus->system", since we're dealing with system bus instead of session bus.

    OK, got it stable

First we tried with a 1000v 2.5a diode across the relay. (the cathode (white-banded) end is connected to the positive (red wire) terminal on the relay) Helped some but it still dropped out. It...

MDX shouldn't have anything to do with it - for normal toggle-on toggle-off operation, it sends a message to the FB telling it what to do, and that's it - no constant intervention between MDX and the...

Depressing news. I have to amend my previous statement anyway: It DOES still drop out momentarily. But it doesn't do it with the same frequency on each output. Specifically, outputs 1-4 and 14-16...

Indeed the relay still works when 12V is applied. Sadly, it still drops out periodically regardless of the new power source (polarity corrected;)) and still buzzes irritatingly when active.
