    It will work fine, but you need a good quality web cam that is good at low light conditions. Infared LED's won't do squat it will only pickup what is in your headlights.

    Even my 2Ghz Core Duo laptop struggles.

    I downloaded something like CCCP htt://www.cccp-project.net/ then in minicam select I think ffdshow encoder or something. Hopefully should have XviD by default but you may have to go into the CCCP...
