I would consider doing something along those lines, except that I have to see if any one has a 3.5" - 4" touch screen first, or it such a device exists.
I've smacked my knee on the cup...
Here is what I had in mind.
Something like this but molded into the dash:
I believe just about everything in the Malibu's were the same from 97-2003.
I was playing around with a Garmin c330 the other day at work, and noticed that the screen would fit almost perfectly on the left side of my dash. (btw I have a 2002 Malibu). I figure I can mold it...
Anyone have one of these?
no problem, I did google it, but wanted to see if anyone on here had one they didnt need anymore. Normally that part is about $100
I need to find a GM12-AUX adapter for my stock stereo so that I can my setup to my car without having to use the FM modulator.
Ah man.... no dvd Combo?
Its a Dell Inspiron 4000. It uses a standard laptop drive. It is mounted in Dells cases which it can be removed from (already done).

*Bump* Still looking for a replacement
Send me a pic or two and how much you would want for it and is it DVD/CDRW?
If its a slim line type drive then I can take it out of the case. Got a pic handy?

Any pics of the mobo itself? Whats the max ram it can take?
Thanks for looking though!

1x 512MB PC100/PC133 SDRAM
1x PCI Video Card Prefer RADEON (64MB should suffice)
1x GM12AUX (Auxilary adapter for GM Radio for 2002...

I dont suppose any one has a spare piece of 512 or a PCI video card laying around do they? I believe my BIOS is quite limited. I will check it tonight.
I would have to look at the sticks to see what they are. Also, I'll check in the bios to see if there is indeed a section for changing the timing.
This may need to be in hardware but I wasnt sure. I was working on my machine last and added a second stick of ram and now when it goes to boot XP it reboots. Here's the specs:
Not to jump off topic, but whats the boot time on these things with 98 Embedded? Also, where can I get a hold of 98 Embedded?
I am working on an older system where I will be tinkering with Win98. I was in the process of copying the cabs to the HD when it errored on one of the files. The CD is scratched up...
