Good work so far!
I thought I'd pitch in, that's Japanese :)
Similar problem after changing to Win7 from XP. I ended up just putting button in the skin to bring Garmin back into focus when it disappears :/
That's pretty much what I did for mine. Sorry couldn't find any better/clearer pictures:
This should be it
I have the same problem and all the individual mixers (including GMPC) are maxed out.
Apparently someone was working on a solution, I think it was the guys who are embedding it into CF. Can't find the post though
I also have the same problem in Win7 & GMPC. I think it was the same in XP, but that was too long ago to remember..
Also made one for GMPC. I tried using your OSK but I like the look of this one better since it's transparent and you can see the search results as you type. The [-] button is what toggles the OSK,...
Cool. Is it working well? I've only used it one time so far and didn't have any problems with it losing focus /etc.
I made a Minicam screen for the skin. It was pretty trivial to do but I'm sure it would be helpful to someone. The added button checks whether an instance of Minicam is open or not before opening to...
Hmm try edit the FreeVK.ini, seems to have some height and width settings.
Ah that makes sense. Anyway, just tested it on my carPC (Win7 32bit) and it's working great :D Much better than the other overlay too since the OSK is transparent and you can see the street name...
Cheers for that, seems to be working fine on my WinXP virtual machine. Hopefully works the same on the Win7 carPC. I edited the scripts slightly to suit the SypheR skin which I'm currently using (the...
Any updates since (in general)?
Haha that actually gives me an idea. Replace the radio screen with some sort of puzzle/etc and tell them once they solve it then the radio will come on. Of course it will only lead to nothing :P
RR seems to support a few but to be honest I'd rather spend time on other parts of the car instead of working out the radio. It's handy anyway, people can't get in and ask to/forcefully(wth) put on...
Ah, looking through your thread I thought of some more:
- reverse camera
- maybe radio of some sort but I really only want it for AM, and the solutions are so expensive :|
I've been really busy with uni so haven't had chance to do much else with the carPC. Most of my spare time went towards working on the engine/etc. What I do want to do if I get spare time is:
Trying it out now. One question though, how did you remove the title for the virtual keyboard window? It doesn't seem to be part of its settings.
So has anyone managed to fix the overlay issue? It's actually pretty irritating now :/
Did I mess up the install, or are there no iLists in this skin? It's probably about the only thing I found missing as I've gotten used to using them in LSXVoid. Looks and feels good so far though.
What intersection was that at?
Nice install. I tried to open up my rear-view mirror to do the same thing but ended up cracking the mirror :(
