    Thanks,

    The sun hasn't really been an issue for me that much. And there is a link on the 350 forums that shows a guy who tried it the way you are talking and did it the way I did and he and I both agree that it seems to be the best way to do it. Looks factory and very professional and you won't have to deal with that door being up all the time. Here is a link to the thread about both ways in an '07('06 also):

    I do agree that looks better I just don't have the cash for that right now. I really wanted to do this for the least amount of money possible then go from there. I'm only in for $390 right now so it won't be too much for me to get all that going if I decide I really like it (which I think I will).

    Thanks again for all the great information, I appreciate it. Again damn nice install...

    Oh, one last question (hope this isn't in the thread above) - what frontend software are you using? I've been playing with Centrafuse a lot and so far I really like it - probably going to buy it next...

    I am using roadrunner with the Crystal blue skin. Here is a link to the front end. GREAT skin and GREAT support.

    Good luck and feel free to ask me anything. More than happy to help out.

    Very nice install, I love your use of the factory housing and buttons. I am getting ready to install a computer in my 05 Z and I was going to put the gps reviever under the strut bar like you did. I thought it might not recieve the best but I am glad to hear that it works well!

    Grats again on a new 07 Z.

    @Fooch:

    Hey man, great install.

    Was wondering if that cubby closed up like it does on the non-nav models. I know some models had the automatic closing door. If it does, can you please show pics of it closed.

    I am really looking to have something that closes b/c I don't want to draw attention to it and have it stolen.

    Hey bro, just curious could you tell me how you got power to the lights on the nav buttons?

    The cubby does not close up. In '06-'07 the Navi's don't have doors, as far as I know. There is just a lip to block out the sun. So it is always open. But it looks really good the way it is so I don't mind.
