You know I was also wondering whether to get the mobile processor. But let's suppose this way - most of my time, I am using the car pc would probably be around 3-4 hours a day. Would a mobile processor make a difference? To my knowledge, the mobile processor would just make consuming power more efficient. Important difference for a laptop battery but wouldnt make any difference for a car battery. Dont you think so?

Mobile processor would not only draw less power but run cooler but I've heard of people using desktop processors with no issue.

Have you given any thought as to where you going to locate your PC. If you want it in-between the seats you may be able to put the PC in the storage compartment between the rears seats(the vertical one that faces the trunk) if heat isn't too much of an issue where you live.

Hey I gotten a used RX-8 housing from the US. However it doesnt come with any harness or cable to connect to the car battery. Any ideas where to get the harness and cable?

Do you mean a stock Nav housing? try Mazdamart they sell used RX8 parts thats where I got my center console.

The RX-8 Navigation Housing. I am using the nav housing. So I dont know how to power up and let the motor turn. I have no cable or harness to connect to the battery.

Okay so you have the factory Nav housing (sweet) sorry I'm not familar with the Factory Nav housing as I didn't use it in my install.

Check these threads out on RX forums Factory Nav Housing, add me to the Car-PC-List, hooking up used Nave Screen , for help installing Stock Nav housing, hope this helps.

From what I read it can be a bit tricky, try Mazmart for the parts you need.

Any news on your installation of the mic? I was also thinking of installing one above the air-con closest to the right. Have you any luck getting the best position?

Currently my mic is hidden in the headboard just in front of the sun visor on the drives side(removed the sunglass holder to fish it there). It works pretty good with StreetDeck voice commands. I'll test it on a phone call when I receive the StreetDeck bluetooth adapter.
