I always love how the 7th gen civics have the perfect opening for a 7" widescreen. :D
I drove around like that for a year before I finally had help filling the gaps. Any plans on finishing it up sometime? I got my spare dash piece off of eBay for $20-$30 (I cant remember anymore), so I can go back to stock easily.
The only gap is the one on the right side. The gap around the top, bottom, and left is actually less than the aftermarket kit I had in there before. I did put a bead of clear silicon along the bottom and left side to keep things from rattling.
I still want it to look like there's a screen installed. I played around a little with the idea of molding it in, but I bought a warranty for the screen (since they are prone to have issues) and I'd rather keep it unmodified so I can pull it out in the event of a failure.
I could probably caulk it with some satin black or grey silicon to clean up the edges a bit, how do you think that would look?

Something you may have better luck with is a Metra double-din kit. Then shave away the top, bottom, and left side until it is a tight squeeze fit, and the right side will cover that hole weird shape up. I tried but I accidentally broke mine so then I tried it and some Plast-dip to try and make it look better, and long story short, it was the worst looking thing ever because the filler I used was shiny rubber...
But I think if you have more patience than I did, and took your time, it would look really good for little work.
I just went out and measured and there's less than a 16th of an inch on the top right hand corner and top left corner so the fit would be really tight. Are you talking about the 3/16" gap on the left side and bottom? I know that the weird shaped triangular section needs something I just haven't decided yet what. I actually have one of the metra kits sitting on a shelf at home so I can start hacking it up and see what I come up with.

Also as a side, do you have leather seats? I didnt know that was an option on our cars... That makes me sad. :( Stupid cloth... :censored:
I like the SpaceNavigator a lot. I use it mostly for volume and skipping tracks. On a regular day drive to work I don't even have to touch the screen. If I want to load new playlists then I have to touch the screen. I just need to get the hotkey for switching playlists to one of the buttons on the SN.Quote:
