What are you running for a front end (eg, RoadRunner on PC's) and what are using for gps software?

I would love to get a mac mini but I didn't think it had enough good carpc software.

    Thanks
I am going to try and glass it in, try. I am hoping it will work but we'll see. I have front row I guess you could call that my front end. The mac intel can run both windows an OS so thats what I do. My GPS is through windows. I have all the software but I haven't uploaded it yet. I am happy with the mini although I have had some problems with the logic board and power supply. I bought the extended warranty so I'm covered.
I will post some pics of the glassing as soon as I can I have put 2 coats on and it seems ok, I will sand it fill it and paint it soon. I will post pics of work so far I also am trying to incorporate a cup holder on the driver side since I lost mine by doing this install.

the first picture is of the console after I glassed it second is my bright idea of a cup holder. I was loosing 2 by putting this screen where it was going so I needed atleast one for me. Besides the old cup holders were maybe a inch deep so everytime you turn your cup would fall over the new one is about 3 inches deep. I will be posting more pics soon I have added bondo to this and put my first coat of primer on it doesn't look to bad. Also the glass seems to hold up on the plastic.

me too it really came out well for my first time. The color is a little dark so I might have to spray it again but I am very happy with the final result now I just have to get the screen in there

almost finished. The touchscreen isn't working and the screen doesn't sit exactly right.

Looks great. I never thought you'd get the 'glass to bind to the console and still wonder how you did that. I had to use abs sludge.

I had a problem with my touchscreen at first also and it turned out that I had the screen holder tabs too tight and it had pressure on the touchscreen. I loosened it slightly and it works perfectly.

I too love the 10.4" vs the 8"...amazing how much of a difference it makes.

    Really nice project...

Thanks for the positive feedback. The glass doesn't stick well to plastic but if the plastic is hard and rigid it can work. I did use some epoxy along the edges of the glass. I am very happy with the result. As far as the touchscreen goes I think its the driver I have tried downloading every driver people suggest to me and nothing seems to work. If anyone know a where I can find a driver let me know. Thanks again for the positive feedback.

    Power Problems Please Help

So I was looking at your install of your mac mini with the 10.4 (shark) screen, and P-1900 , which is exactly what I am doing. I am struggling with powering the screen from the secondary output on the power supply. I have the jumpers set for the secondary power to be 12v, I have the resistor that was in the cigarette adapter, and I still can't get it to power the screen. Any suggestions? Thanks!
