OMG guys...please more details of how you did the dash mods to make room for the screen.
For mine i just went the easy way - I decided not to integrate the touchscreen as part of the dash by using ABS as this would look out of place as it would look too modern for an old car.
There is plenty of room in the dash once you move the heater controls. I then added an aluminium plate to support/tie the bottom of the dash back to the body of the car and as a platform to attach everything too.
From there it was easy - fabricate a piece of aluminium as a new facia. This has brackets on the back to bolt it to the above mentioned plate and to support the screen.
I admit this was the easy way out as far as fabrication goes as there was no need to take apart the touchscreen but as I said before it suits the rest of the interior of the car.
