not really, been just driving it & loving it. still gotta finish up my lighting mods, then figure out what's next

been having a few funky usb issues, think my cheap 4 port usb pcmcia card may be a bit flakey, just ordered this card . it's supposed to be one of the better ones with an nec chipset & can do usb 1 & 2 simultaniously, just pluging in one usb 1 item doesn't slow everything else to a crawl & it can do multiple speeds communication at the same time...

other than that she's been just working fine, I put a 3m clear bra on it to avoid all the stupid little rock chips that would acumulate without it... been thinking about the system lately & some sort of forced induction... been trying to work a deal for a set of 6 piston 15" big brakes but that hasn't come through yet... got a few other ideas rolling around in my head too... thats about it

    nice!

that looks like a pretty good pcmcia hub.

how does the 3M bra look? is it noticeable on the edges? how long till the dust starts building on the edges and it becomes more noticeable?

    From one Turbo to another....

Was there any compelling reason to use an 07 dash vs an 03 dash? I read through the entire worklog last night, and cant remember if there was a reason or not.

Looking to purchase an 04 (hopefully this weekend), and an iPod integration would be first on my list of "to do's", followed by a remote start setup & a speaker upgrade.

    Thanks in advance.

This is amazing. I'm new to this hobby and I can't say how much your worklogs and posts have helped me.

    Thank you!

    hey guys, thanks.

bluglitch, the first time it's waxed the lines become more noticable on the clear bra, but it doesn't look bad, & I think of it as temporary protection, so I can live with how it looks, in a few years I could pull it off & still have a clean hood & bumper, without it in a few years it's definatley going to be seriously chipped up... little chips hold wax & on a black car it looks like a buch of white specks, so overall I'm happy with the bra.

turbogj, I choose the 07 up design dash over the earlier one because the center opening is different. the earlier dashes used a fold down door to house a cassette deck, the later dash doesn't have this & just has a nice square opening, made my fabrication that much easier...

updates?, well I'm building custom tailights to match my custom headlights, hopefully all my lighting mods will be done soon, can't wait to get them in I also have a nice polished up supercharger in route to me and a set of rotora 6 piston big brake setup's also coming to me, these should go on my fx soon after I get them, I'll update pictures then

oh wow, never noticed this thread. I love this install you kept it soooo OEM, were as your others were not, and I hated that. This one is very super high class. My goal on my CarPC was to go for the OEM look also, but I dont have all the experience and tools like you do (thats why I went with a motorized screen, so scared to destroy my dash). So I have to have a coach shop do all my mods for me.

You seem to know alot about cars, have you ever seen the dash of a 03, Dodge Durango, it has one massive piece instead of seperate pieces as the dash. It extends from the driver side to the glove box near the passenger. Just to get it off I have to put the car into Drive 1 then fight to get it off, so I think putting a fixed screen is way to hard, but I would like your opinion on that. I also have only a 1 1/2 DIN opening....

I will second Turbocad...My GF has an '08 Scion TC and that is an option that she took advantage of. It is barely noticible unless you get up close. The only times I have noticed it are after a wax, or winter driving in New England (road salt and sand residue)
    Essential for northeast driving!
