TurboCad.... another well thought of and executed project! Looks great so far!
I looks AMAZING.
I have a couple of those swirlly scratches as well, i left it in my friends garage and he thought moving boxes over the car would be okay, as well as adding a few fender dents :/
Does the HVAC control screen get in the way of the rearview mirror at all?
its hard to see in the pics.
The screen looks like it fits perfect, i cant wait so see the finished project!

this screen is a really tight fit, I mean everything just sitting in the opening fits, but when it comes to building a bezel to hold it all theres not even a few milimeters extra to spare. I managed to come up with a way to mount everything, the screen has to be slightly recessed.
Afew shots...

if this wasn't a reflective screen I'd be glad it's recessed, but this screen really takes advantage of the sun & would have been nice to flush mount, but it just don't fit... I guess it'll look more factory being recessed anyway...
now this may be the first screen here that get's a front light upgrade
test fit in the dash:

& yeah, the overhead screen does partially block the rear view mirror, that screen does more than just climate control, it does navigation, climate control, rear view camera, radio & satillite radio, controls the 6 disc changer & all vehicle functions, there are a lot of vehicle functions that can be controlled from that screen
I will either move the mirror down an inch or so, or get a module that lets me feed an aux video input to the stock screen, then I can get a good rearview camera & just eliminate the mirror all togeather, that'll give me room for the dbx display if/when I do that part of the install. the factory rear view camera is more for just parking as it's pointed down at the bumper...

Very nice. I really like your dash since it's almost perfectly symmetrical.

That's what you said about the DTS... see:
so what cars do you have right now?
The original turbocad, the dts, the fx, and the montana... right?
Anything I am missing?
BTW: That paint is amazing, I really love your installs, you and biggy (and a few others) are inspiring me to try and go tall screen, i figure if I can install 4 dins (or more) in the space I'm using (two for screen, one for hu, one for hvac controls), a big tall screen would fit, but for now the 8.4 widescreen will do just fine. I'm interested to see what you do with the vents. I was going to do something like this on my galant, but the car died before the carputer was planned.
Subscribed, as well as glued to the screen to see what you come up with next.
