    It is true what you said, I even called my insurance (Geico), and they told me they will not insure it, they will only insure what came attached with the car (the stock radio).
    Theft is my top concern right now, I took an appointment next week to tint my windows so that nobody will see what is inside, the car already has a stock alarm. Other than that there is not much I can do...

    wow, beautiful install, nice the way you have the dual zones on one pc, great job. nice clean install too, good luck with it

    first windows carpc install........my liquid cooled LVDS screen :D

    i would recommend a kill switch at the very least to keep the whole car from getting jacked. i have one :-D

    but dude as far as somebody busting out your windows and making at least a grab at your headrests....you're royally screwed.

    Such a clean looking install. What kind of bezel did you use for the console?
    This is a 2005 Nissan Altima double din made by metra, I bought it from:

    But I had to trim down the bottom part so that I could see the whole screen. That's why you see those 2 holes on the bottom part of the bezel.

    a kill switch is a switch that is somewhere in your car...under the seat, in the glove box, or even more hidden than that in some circumstances. and it only allows the car to start when engaged. key or not. normally hooked up to your starter or battery.

    Nevermind I found my answer in your diagram...I am surprised the 8 inch LCD fits...
