Hey buddy can you some more details on how you installed the lilliput? looks like you got rid of the stock frame, including the buttons, and used a double din instead. Hmm why did you have to separate the screen from the motherboard etc?
Thanks guys...
The screen itself is not attached to the motherboard (look at the first picture on this page)Hey buddy can you some more details on how you installed the lilliput? looks like you got rid of the stock frame, including the buttons, and used a double din instead. did you do anything extra to the pc to keep it from shaking? i want to buy a new pc for my house and use my old pc for the car, but im woried about scrathed disk if the car shakes to much, also what do you do about heat? if your cars in the sun do you just wait till it cools to use the pc?
I use this video card from nvidia: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814121193 As you can see, it has a VGA and component video output, I connected the component video output to the headrest RCA line, and the VGA to the LCD in front, and I use the Nvidia control panel to set it up as dual monitor clone mode, and set up the secondary display as full screen. How does the navi up front & videos in the back work?
For sound, I am using the Sound Blaster X-FI (Music), it is connected to the analog input on the Z5500.
No, I just put the seat on top of it, and it does nor move at all, it is a very tight area as you can see, because the case is a little big (this is a micro-ATX case by the way).did you do anything extra to the pc to keep it from shaking?
I don't think there is much you can do about the heat, you just have to deal with it. I have 2 fans inside the case + 1 for the processor and ventilation holes in front of the case. So far I haven't had any heat related issues
Finally tinted my windows on saturday. This will keep the thieves away hopefully and give me some privacy.
At night, you cannot really see what is inside, it is totally dark from the outside. I went with 20% tint (front and back), although the legal limit is 35% in Maryland. I think the car looks better with the tint on anyway.
I replace the mouse with a touchpad I bought from amazon, easier for me to control the computer with a USB touchpad mouse.
Also relocated the Control POD, I removed the cup holders and put the control pod there.
