I just finished my project with my car.
Finished Interior
License Plate Camera
then under the hood there is a AEM cold air intake. (I actually had to take off the cold air intake because Mitsubishi would not service my car. the engine light was on for a evap system leak and they still didn't service it even though its a totally different part of the car, also AEM says that their cold air intake wouldn't void my warranty but they didn't say the Mitsubishi was going to be a ***** about it).
Here's the exterior of the car. there are no mods
There's me sitting in the Uber Mobile.

looks good! i would loose the keyboard and use an on-screen solution.
and your ground loop isolator should be a bit far away from the audio source, not tied to it![]()
well the ground loop isolator worked fine when it was attached, unfortunately I connected the XM adapter in reverse Polarity and the thing was smoking and almost caught on fire so now i don't need the ground loop isolator. o and one question do they make a video ground loop isolator, and if so does it work well because i have image shaking on my mirror LCD every-time the car is running.
Ground loop isolators should never be permanently installed in anything. They are a diagnostic tool, not a fix to the problem. If you need a ground loop isolator to get rid of noise, guess what, you've got a ground loop! Do it right, lose the isolator, find the source of the ground loop, and fix it.
what kind of navigation r u using on the rear view mirror lcd?
iGuidance v4.0
Yes the noise comes from the alternator (AC) and when you run off of the battery you are feeding DC.
But the point is that if you isolate the power wires from the sound wires, you wont allow the interference from the power cables to disort the audio. And that is what you should do.
I think it is perfectly ok to leave a GLI in place, but it should be a last resort. Also it degrades the audio quality severly, and anyone with an ear for sound that rides in your car, will instantly know, and no matter the quality of all the rest of the work, that automatically puts you in a lower quality/grade install category.
