I had the exact same idea when we saw that case in walmart! They sell a $10 poker set with chips and cards and everything and it comes in a case exactly like that. As soon as I saw that, I started thniking of a itx case!

    Nice work.

shouldn't this been in worklogs, or some other area like fabrication, since this isn't a finished car?

Its under the passenger seat. This case is only 3 inches tall so it was a perfect fit.

I used that exact poker case you're talking about, got it done this weekend. intel mini ITX and a hardrive fit perfectly in there, however, the case is made cheap and light so you must be careful during drilling and cutting. Also, there is not enough head room to close it when you put in the psu wires, now I could go nutts and make custom short cables but that is way too much work for a cheap case that probably won't last more than a year.

i'll probably buy a vroom itx case and next time i have to do major work on the pc, i'll swap it out. (if it fits where i want it too.)

Cool good to know. I have a Commel board with a P4M on it with a 1U heatsink/fan. I think it will be big enough and if I just cut a hole nad put a fan grill on the exact spot that the fan is then it should work out ok. My only concern would be it overheating. I think I can route power cables no problem. When you say the HD fit, is that a 2.5" drive? I am having trouble picturing my 3.5" drive fitting it there without maybe a hole on the side for it to stick out a bit.

awesome idea for a case. i'm going to see if i can fit one under my passenger seat.

    just so people know this case measures 11.5" x 7.5" x 3"

can you give out some details of what you have stuffed inside that case?

i hope your planning on doing a write-up for this because i bet alot of others would love to do the same
