but damn australia, was working fine driving around..... stop in a car park in the sun with a mate and BEEP BEEP BEEP overheating alarm after 10 mins
i have an 80mm ball bearing fan on the case and the normal CPU fan....... maybe i need a bigger heatsink/fan..... or maybe i just can't run it in extreme heat while im stopped?

do what the pc modders/overclockers do. Put as many fans in there as possible! Make fan slots to put new fans in, make them big, turn them up! Noise isn't a problem in a car, but power might be a small issue. Then again, they are fans..... how much power could they use?! or if you wanna get real crazy, watercool the punk!Originally posted by UncoCow

My project would be in the works right now..... if I had some money.
fan uses about 8W i think for a medium power one...... i have a 250W power supply so it should be sweet![]()
Computer fans are 12 volt fans. You can hook the black wire to the ground of the car and use a relay to apply power to the fans. This way it doesnt take any power from the PSU and you can put as many fans as possible.
ground all the black wires on the fan to the car.
30 on the bosche relay goes to all the red wires on the fans.
85 goes to the yellow wire on the HDD plug on the PSU.
86 goes to the black wire next to the yellow wire on the HDD plug on the PSU
87 goes to constant 12 volt in the car like the battery.
I'm running two 2", four 3" and two 4" fans for my computer and amps using relays.
well i know i haven't been around much lately but i still been slowly installing it while working/finishing school and stuff..... finally! now i can get onto the engine, turbo charger here i come baby
anyway here's a pic of the screen from digitalww
and here's a link to some pictures of it running media engine software..... not perfect for my application but i'm too busy to build my own at the moment and media engine is good for the things it does do
