    I was trying to find something to disable the RAM check. Couldn't find it

    if you set all the things in the bios that are set to auto, to manually be the settings they should be (like drive settings) it'll be slightly faster

    and disable USB support in BIOS (thats a big unneccessary chunk). Set the primary drive as the boot drive, disable other bootable devices.

    Use a better motherboard mate. Should see it speed up ALOT.

    The turion is a better processor, has better response timing than intels.

    i think i will do this as well. i hope i will see a decent amount in bootup time. im gonna try it on my truckputer and my laptop.

    Are you using a stripped out version of XP or just a straight install? Using a stripped version will half your windows load time.

    I'm using a stripped out windows xp with a standard 80gb hdd on an Epia M10000 and I've got a cold boot time of 12 seconds.

    I don't think Windows is really slowing you down based on the video. The BIOS takes most of the boot time...
