2003 Silverado SS TruckPC

Hi Everyone!

Relatively new to this forum ... found it shopping for components for my current system ...

Basics:
P4 3.0 GHz HT
1 Gb RAM
120 Gb HDD
CD/DVD Drive
7" Xenarc Touchscreen
Centrafuse XLE 1.47
USASPEC GM Audio Interface
OBD2 Diagnostics by EASE

I'm looking for a good 7-Port USB Hub that I can run off of my CarNetix power supply's 5VDC circuit. I'm looking to add a GPS receiver, possibly an XM/Sirius Interface, and an RF keyboard (which will probably have a USB interface as well) and I'd like to be able to use my Jump Drives plus the current 2 already in use ... the TouchScreen Controller and the Cradle for my phone (For CDMA Modem Access) ... so that'll be 6 devices that need USB ports.

Here is some ideas for yea on a center console. Check out my truck and i have done to it. This is the 3rd. go around for the truck. Been working and changing things for the past 7 years.

are you using your head unit for sound? If so. How? I have Chevy Tahoe 2k6 with bose sound system. Like to still have that in use after install of the carputer. But cant find the solution for it to work together!

Yep ... using factory head for sound. Piped PC's sound out into the XM channel of the factory head. Check out http://usaspec.com/ for adapters.

Just curious where you got the bezel that is around the screen, I am going to put one in the same place on my 04 Silverado.

No one makes a bezel, unfortunately ... I looked for months trying to find one ...

The one in the pictures is the original bezel that holds the ciggy lighters. I had a stereo shop fab the piece for me. They pretty much cut the hole, and filled/formed the touchscreen to it, then painted with trim paint.
