Still, your thread about your 300, and here I go about a ford expedition O.o

Might as well talk about a 300:

I might trade in the expedition for one, but seeing the true potential of the Expedition, I'm liking it...

But with a little more money to spend, I would defiantly get a 300, and stretch it -- not full-length, but executive style, like this BMW 7 series:

I would put in two very large captains chairs against the backs of the driver and passenger seats, and replace the back bench seat with two large captains chairs. Basically, turn a bench that can seat 3 people in a somewhat cramped manner, into a larger, luxury car that can seat 4 in HUGE SEATS. I'd also get a few "supplies" from this site:

    http://www.wooddashexperts.com/custo...cessories.html

...seems to be pretty good at making your 300 look more like the bentley it was designed to mimic. especially the "suicide doors" near the bottom of the page!

Imagine the stretched 300 described above with suicide doors for the back doors, solid black with aluminum trim, a nice wood dash, some cooler looking tail and front lights, and a fancier grille

probably as expensive as h3ll, but still AMAZING...

    EDIT

    This, only black and stretched

I <3 my beetle...unfortunately, no carputer for it! =3 rather get a cheap radio stolen out of it than an entire carputer system...

...as for the setting, the Bug is currently in a hangar at an airport =P

So the PC will turn on the monitors? Will it power them? I decided to go the relay route with almost all my components since most of them had a fuse and regulators. THat way I also do not have to wait for the PC to turn on the screens.

UGGGHHHHHH dont stretch the 300, that 7 series looks ugly stretched. Plus why would you stretch already huge cars. Stay with the Expedition if you need such a long car. What I do like about my car, is that the 3rd row seat is smushed in there.... tall people cannot sit back there, but the middle row tubbles forward to let the people into those seats. Cool thing is you can leave them forward and now you have tons of leg room for that area......... I was thinking of adding a table, kinda like the new Caravan.

A travesty. Complete and utter travesty.

    Crime against man and nature.

Kind of looks like a Saturn now............

Chrysler already sells a LWB 300c:

    So:

Waste of money if you ask me, but to each his own...............

    I'm american >_>

Besides, then it'd drive like a 300, and get better gas mileage than the expedition, and be badass in luxury xD

    The caravan is nice :3

I've never been in one, but the pictures rock...

Most minivans shout "SOCCER MOM!" But they actually made it more friendly inside...Plus, I like the swivel seats, and the storage

The expedition is sort of the same way with the back seats...Not much leg room, but for family trips, we fold down the back seats

We usually just put a portable DVD player on the center console, and lay out a HUGE sleeping bag across the middle row (folded down). Not much trunk space, but we have this thing that hooks into the trailer hitch for bags (not officially a trailer, because it doesn't roll behind the wheels...more like a very large basket...)

I'll play around in photoshop on thursday, and see if I can make a good picture of what I'd want in a 300

I've actually seen a stretched BMW 7 series here in Lexington...only a little bit longer than the one pictured...it had 3 doors on the right side, but only a driver door on the left...the two back doors on the right side opened like a giant king-cab, and inside was an oak table, with wrap-around black leather seats...The entire car was glossy black, with EXTREMELY tinted windows. Very nice look :P I'd want to copy it somewhat in a 300...Though I'm not a fan of such a dark interior >_> maybe tan leather

Stereotype of Americans with big cars >_>

Though the Expedition already completes the stereotype...

Just look at most "family cars" in europe...a VW golf is considered medium sized or even BIG in some places! :O

    So, you're a stereotype?

I feel bad for you..............I prefer to make my own way.............

Europeans drive smaller cars for a reason. Fuel is MUCH more expensive over there and there's just no room for a large car. I know, I'm over there a couple times a year. I absolutely cringe when they give me a passat as a rental, I know there's places I just won't be able to go and it's probably comming back with no side mirrors.............

Always get full insurance with zero deductable on a rental..............

I walked up to the counter once and handed the girl the keys, said that's all that's left of the car and walked out. Never heard another word out of them.

To be fair, I'd much rather go my own way (hence why I'm planning on building a carputer)...

I have the expedition because it was my mom's old SUV, and it was already paid for...I might trade it in for a sedan though, but it just has great potential for a carputer...

and I know fuel prices are OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive in Europe, but over here gas has gotten to $3.90 on some days...but AvGas is the really expensive stuff around here -- $5.60 / gallon! Ok, ok, maybe not as much as a gallon of normal gas in Europe, but it's still EXPENSIVE for what the U.S. is used to...Believe me, now more than ever I DON'T want to be driving that expedition...It's just what I have! :P

So, the expedition is paid for, you got it from your mom, and you're complaining about putting gas in it?

As long as it doesn't burn more than 5-600 bucks a month, you're money ahead over a new car payment. And you'd still hae to feed a new car gas on top of the payment.

AvGas? Are you talking about aviation gasoline? That's how is commonly called, AvGas.

You don't burn that in your car bud, not unless you want to burn out the valves or piston crowns............the comparison between Avgas and european unleaded prices is apples and oranges.................
