    Car A/C controls.

I'm buying a 300 Limited tomorrow and will be setting up a car pc shortly thereafter. Your install is very clean (something that helped me convince my wife that it'll look good). As I read your posts, though, I'm a bit confused as to what you did with the car A/C controls. Did you remove them altogether in favor of the cooling system that you mentioned, or did you relocate the controls and wiring to a different spot?

wow, man did I fail to visit this page ......

well my MacMini works awesome hooked to custom 2000W stereo system (have been working on it though )

in progress of ordering streetdeck - I dont know it still looks to me as the coolest out there

just got my second battery box made out of abs - for marine installations but it huides the battery pretty well as well as parts you dont want to get short-circused

stilll building my subwoofer enclosing - got some additional ideas going on and will leave that for now

and ... I think i do owe yall an explanation why I was not as frequent as I used to be - I recently purchased my brand new bike, Honda cbr1000RR (another toy) and I was veeeery busy - working like a dog. Also, i might get married next year, so .... that might delay some projects of mine

however, I keep on impressing folks who get to see my system - already got used to "man how in the hell did you do that" - thing

    Hello,

Have you hooked up your steering wheel controls to work with your CarPC? I have been looking around for some solution for the 300c and haven't seen anything yet.

    Thanks

I've gotten it to work with my 300.

Used a Canusb to plug into the radio harness then it plugs into a usb port and you can write software to listen for the steering wheel buttons, among tons of other things. So far I've only tested it with a laptop running Ride runner and winamp but it works

I see, can you possibly send me a link to the one you purchased? I wonder if there is any software out there that could make it easier to utilize steering wheel button commands.

Very cool work log there by the way. Where are the pics of the carpc? I don't yet own a 300 but I am planning on purchasing one soon. Too keep my mind off of the excitement of getting a new car, I decided to begin building a carpc...quite the headache, but better to do know then when I want it working right away. Your work logs may save me some frustration.

I see you are using Ride Runner. I have chosen Centrafuse personally. Check out this skin in development that is tailored to a 300:
