Well, since we're throwing around chrysler screens, here's my little PS creation:

My screen is black, as my interior is dark slate with black accents. Just goes better with the car's interior. This image comes up after the POST and stays that way till the desktop which displays the same image. Kind of got to like it when I had the RB1 in the car....

I never thought of having a loading screen in addition to my desktop background. My have to fire up PS again............

    Cheers

    @ MGD;

Any chance you could release that skin? Looks nice and the green would go nicely with my 300M's dash lighting. Just got a nice look overall..........

Oh yeah, I thought I was the only one here that still listened to dean martin! Got any ol' blue eyes on there too?
    How's bout the rat pack?

    Did I miss something here?

Why did you need a 3.5 to 2.5 HD adapter again?

It's usually the other way around.........

2.5 to 3.5 for the Mobo. Or is that what you mean?

    Cheers

So how much have you done of your install.... Last weekend I spent 3 hours laying all the electrical and USB wires. To do it in a nice clean way I had to take out the passenger seat, take out almost all of the dash. Today I cut my DC-DC adapters and tried them on the 5v rail of a power supply.... They worked perfectly, so now I can X out those bulky adapters. Because I have more room, I can make the eletrical junction box way smaller...... The other project (which no one seems to want to help) is me trying to get a VGA connection to my 15 inch. Gooddeals18 lied and said it had one, but it doesnt. So I opened it up, turns out it needs a special cable and I cant find it and I dont want to hack up the board to try to make a connector. This weekend I hope to finish laying more cable, installing the rear cam (fianlly cam from hong kong), and connecting everything to the relay system and what not.... The Kino mobo should be in by next thursday.

that sounds like a plan man, I wish I can do that - can you imagine I have to beg to get some time off (even for my citizenship ceremony)

I'm hoping to get some time tomorrow to continue working on this

You could wire two speakers to each channel if you wanted to power 4 speakers, but I wouldn't recommend it.

It'll look pretty ghetto and probably sound like crap. Not even sure what it would do to your amp impedance wise......

I'd recommend getting yourself a good four channel amp and maybe a decent mono amp for your sub if you really want to run four speakers.

Also, you shouldn't use the infinity speakers if that's your intent. They are 2 ohm speakers, aftermarket sound equipment is meant to run 4 ohm usually.

I only run 2.1 sound myself. MB Quart 6.5 components up front and a 12" sub in the trunk. Sounds great and the rear seat passengers aren't excluded from conversation in the front seat by audio behind them (rear speakers).

    Cheers
Nice install so far, but I wanted to comment on the above quote.

I'm sure you know your stuff about car PCs, however...

Running more than 1 speaker off 1 channel is not unheard of. It happens quite often in the car audio world.
Second, his amp will probably support down to 2 ohms easily.

But, if his amp did only support 4 ohms, and he was wiring a pair of two ohm speakers to each channel: 4 ohms would be the result. (If wired in series.)

The only downside would be not being able to adjust the balance of the speakers front to back...or left to right. Depends how you wire it.

Now...That said, it does look like a very cheap knock-off brand amp. I would suggest a name brand one for sound quality purposes. And I would also suggest if you do get a new amp to get a 4-channel one as it would be easier to do and you would be able to adjust your sound for each speaker as opposed to adjusting each "set" of speakers.

I mainly wanted to point out that you can use your current amp no problem if you wish.

    Keep up with the pictures!
