    DigitalDub v1.0

    Project Name: DigitalDub v1.0
    Car: 2002 VW GTI 1.8T
    Engine: 1.8L 20V Turbo dyno

    Basic Stereo Information:
-Nakamichi CD-45z Head Unit (Need Faceplate Trim Ring )
    -Factory Monsoon Amplifier
    -Factory Monsoon 8 speaker setup

    Carputer:
    AMD Duron 1200 / 128mb / DVD / X10 Mouse Remote / Win XP
Case: Standard cheap case until I have time to build the custom enclosure
    Power: 255w Inverter
    (temporary)
    Storage: 26.4 gig (temporary)
    Sound: Onboard AC97

    Information Sources:
    mp3car.com

    Pictures:

    And so it begins

    1/2 way there!

All Done! - Notice the power button and status LEDs above the screen in the blank button pannels. (still need trim ring for radio)

Temporary CPU Solution - It really looks much better when the side of the case is on...I need to build a custom enclosure for now, but it works

These shots dont do justice to the screen, its much clearer in person...Time for a new DigiCam! For some reason I cannot get the image to fill the whole screen when hooked to the video card, but it works fine when other soruces are hooked up (you can see this in the images of the screen) but I believe its a driver problem? Anyone know of any software that would help with this problem?

    Running Media Engine 1.5.0

    Playlist Selection Screen

    Player Screen

Well, thats about it for version 1.0.

    Any suggestions/comments/other is greatly apprecieated!

Wow that's really clean! What's with all the VW guys, all there installs look professional. Nice computer, just a couple of questions: What kinda screen is that and how much was it? What version Xp is that (home, pro, or corperate) and how fast does it boot up? Did you tweak the OS for faster boots or anything like that?

Thanks! Its running XP Pro right now...just the standard setup, no tweaking yet...been kinda busy and will update it soon, lol....it boots in under a minute.

the screen is the TM-701L sold by www.digitalww.com and it was around $245 or so.....it has since been smoothed and the face painted black to match the rest of the cars interior....updated pix to come soon..

p.s. the case is now the size of the motherboard

Look at the posted date. It was almost 3 years ago . Most likely the pics has been move around and the original poster is long gone (probably).
